The Role of the RTC.

The primary role of the Avon RTC is to recruit and support candidates, who are committed to the Republican brand and platform, for local elected offices.
The RTC also:
  • Recruits and recommends members for Avon's non-elected boards and commissions
  • Recruits and supports Republican candidates representing Avon in the state legislature
  • Provides a platform for Avon residents to connect with federal candidates
  • Advocates for Republican positions at the local and state levels

How Does the RTC Support Our Republican Candidates?

For local positions, the Avon RTC is directly involved in selecting candidates.
While all campaign activities are managed by the candidate, here are some of the ways the RTC provides support:
  • Monetary Donations
  • Publicity | Promotion of fund-raising events
  • Recruitment of Volunteers
  • Actively Engage in Local Efforts to “GET OUT TO VOTE”
For state positions, candidates generally work with multiple Republican town committees, as district boundaries often span more than one town.
The Avon RTC has no direct influence on the selection of candidates for Federal office. However, we promote local access to State and Federal candidates.
